ST ANDREW'S SOCIETY FOR LADIES IN
THE ST ANDREW'S SOCIETY receives no financial help from the Government or the National Lottery and relies entirely on voluntary contributions and investment income. We, therefore, greatly appreciate donations, however small, to help us continue our work.
IF YOU ARE A TAXPAYER AND WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A GIFT TO THE SOCIETY
For taxpayers, radical new tax laws means giving to charity is a great deal easier than ever before. If you wish to make a single or a regular donation to the Society please see below for details of the GIFT AID SCHEME and other ways to take advantage of the new tax concessions that provide considerable benefits for charities and real benefits for donors.
This simple method gives you the chance to increase the value of your donation by 25% by allowing the charity to reclaim the basic rate of tax on donations. So, for every £1 that is given to the Society, we get an extra 25p from the Inland Revenue. All you need to do is just tell us that you wish to use the GIFT AID SCHEME and make sure that we have your name and address. We will do the rest.
Please consider making a bequest to the Society when you make or revise your Will. Legacies enable you to plan your giving while having the advantage of relief from Inheritance Tax.
If you decide to give to a charity in the form of listed shares you will not only be exempt from capital gains tax but you can also claim relief from income tax on the market value of your gift of shares. Please contact the Society for details.
