Under the rules of our Trust Deed we are only allowed to assist ladies from an educated background who have been used to a better life but are now living in reduced circumstances. Unfortunately we are not allowed to assist with the discharge of debts.
We help ladies who are either retired or unable to work through illness or disability. We give priority to ladies who are trying to maintain their own home although an increasing part of our work is concerned
with helping towards a shortfall in care home fees.
Our regular grants are sent out each quarter, either by cheque or through a bank standing order. We
also send each annuitant a greetings card to celebrate her birthday and a Gift at Christmas. Eligible ladies, as well as our regular grantees, can also apply for one-off special grants to help towards urgent expenses such as heating, dentistry, spectacles, replacing worn out white goods/household appliances, small pieces of furniture and removal expenses.

athough urgent cases may be considered for temporary help immediately.
